Women's Soccer 9/19/00 -- Augsburg 1, Bethel 0
MINNEAPOLIS (9/19/00) --
Kim Glumich (So., Moorhead, Minn.) knocked in a rebound off a corner kick in the 56th minute, lifting Augsburg College to a 1-0 win over Bethel College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer game Tuesday night at Augsburg's Anderson-Nelson Field.

Heidi Hilleren (Fr., Duluth, Minn./East HS) rebounded off of several Bethel defenders in front of the net before Glumich slammed the ball into the goal for her second goal of the season.
Augsburg improves to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the MIAC with its second win in a row and fourth in the last five games. Bethel drops to 2-6 overall and 0-1 in the MIAC.

Laura Hoffman (Fr., Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) made five saves to record her second consecutive shutout. On Sunday, the Auggies shut out Edgewood (Wis.), a 1999 NCAA Division III playoff team and six-time Lake Michigan Conference champion, 1-0.
Augsburg outshot Bethel by a 13-8 margin. Bethel goalkeeper Gretchen Bratnober (So., St. Paul, Minn./Minnehaha Academy) made five saves in a losing effort. Lisa Smyth (So., Arlington, Mass.) had four shots for the Royals.
Augsburg returns to action hosting St. Benedict in an MIAC game on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. Bethel returns to action playing at St. Catherine in a nonconference game Saturday (9/23) at 1 p.m.
