MINNEAPOLIS (9/1/02) -- Eilidh Reyelts (Fr., Duluth, Minn./Duluth Marshall HS) scored her first collegiate goal in the 28th minute, lifting Augsburg College to its second 1-0 win of the season, toppling Central College in a nonconference women's soccer game Sunday afternoon at Augsburg's Edor Nelson Field.

Augsburg outshot Central by a 23-7 margin to improve to 2-0 overall, with both its wins over Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams over the Labor Day weekend. Central drops to 0-2 with the loss, after dropping a 3-1 decision at Concordia-St. Paul on Friday.

Reyelts' goal came on an assist from Kristin Olson (Fr., Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS), as her initial shot hit the crossbar, with Reyelts scoring on the rebound. Both players had come into the game as substitutes just before the goal was scored.

Laura Hoffman * (Jr., Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) did not face much action, but made two saves to record her ninth career shutout. She is in third place on the school's all-time record list for shutouts; Beth Petrik recorded 26 shutouts from 1995-98 and Kim Aveldson had 10 shutouts in her career (1998, 1990-91).

Augsburg opens Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Wednesday (9/4), hosting the University of St. Thomas at 7 p.m. at Edor Nelson Field.
