WINONA, Minn. (9/27/03) -- Millie Suk (So., Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) scored two first-half goals on Saturday, leading Augsburg College back into the win column in women's soccer, in a 3-1 triumph over host St. Mary's University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match at Ochrymowycz Field.

Suk scored on a feed from Kristi Ofstad (Sr., Rapid City, S.D./Stevens HS) in the 12th minute, and added her second goal of the game, and team-high fifth of the season, from Becky Lewis (Fr., Duluth, Minn./Duluth Marshall HS) in the 25th minute.

Augsburg is now 6-2-1 overall and 3-1-1 in MIAC play, while St. Mary's drops to 1-9-0 overall and 0-3-0 in MIAC play.

Laura Hoffman (Sr., Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) returned to the Augsburg lineup after missing Wednesday's 3-1 loss to Concordia-Moorhead with an illness, and improved to 6-1-1 on the season in goal with the victory. She made six saves.

Augsburg outshot St. Mary's by a 16-13 margin, including an 11-5 edge in the second half.

Emily Anderson (Fr., Hudson, Wis.) scored her fourth goal of the season in the 68th minute, on an assist from Heidi Hilleren (Sr., Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS).

The shutout bid ended in the 80th minute, as Diane Schirmers scored from Kelli Mooney for the Cardinals.

Nicole Bohn started in goal and allowed all three goals, making five saves. Dianna Kyllo made three saves in 22 minutes of relief.

Both teams return to MIAC action on Wednesday (10/1) at 4 p.m., with Augsburg playing at St. Thomas, and St. Mary's playing at Gustavus.
