MOORHEAD, Minn. (2/18/04) -- Jamie Visness led Concordia College-Moorhead with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and Mandy Pearson nearly had a triple-double with 12 points, 10 assists and seven steals, as the host Cobbers ran to an 81-53 victory over Augsburg College in a a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball game Wednesday night at Memorial Auditorium.
Nine players scored in the contest for the MIAC playoff-bound Cobbers, improving to 19-6 overall and 17-5 in MIAC play. Augsburg drops to 5-19 overall, 5-16 in conference play, dropping its eighth game in its last 10 starts.

Selina Theisen (Fr., Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) claimed her 13th double-double of the season and her 20th double-figure scoring game in her 23 career contests, scoring 20 points and pulling down 13 rebounds.
Along the way, Theisen became an unlikely school record-holder, as the freshman set a new Augsburg career record for blocked shots. With three rejections on Wednesday, Theisen now has 69 blocks, breaking the former Augsburg career mark of 68, set by Kris Stenke from 1984-88.
Concordia took an eight-point lead with 5:42 left in the first half, but Augsburg closed the gap to one point, 27-26, on a 10-3 run. However, it was the closest the Auggies would get to the Cobbers, as the hosts closed the first half on a 13-2 run to take a 38-28 lead into the halftime break.
A 22-9 run in the first eight minutes of the second half gave the Cobbers a 60-37 lead, an advantage Concordia stretched to as many as 32 points down the stretch.
Augsburg was again stymied by poor shooting, hitting just 27.4 percent (20-of-73) from the field and just 21.7 percent (5-of-23) from three-point range -- just 1-of-13 from behind the arc in the second half. Meanwhile, Concordia had a solid shooting night, hitting 41.9 percent (31-of-74) from the field and 44.4 percent (8-of-18) from beyond the arc. Concordia was efficient shooting, as it converted 21 assists on its 31 field goals in the game.
Anne Keeley had 11 points for the Cobbers, while Beth Drager had 10 points. Brianne Schaley scored eight points with five rebounds, and Debbie Slack had seven points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
Ashley Vossen (So., St. Paul, Minn./Central HS) scored in double figures for her eighth game in a row and 11th time in her last 14 games, hitting three 3-pointers and scoring 12 points to go with six rebounds.
Julie Andert * (Sr., Eden Prairie, Minn.) joined Theisen in the double-double category, with her fourth of the season and fifth of her career, scoring 10 points with 11 rebounds and two blocked shots.
Augsburg finishes its season on Saturday (2/21) at 1 p.m., hosting St. Catherine at Si Melby Hall. Concordia has completed its regular season and opens MIAC postseason playoff action on Monday (2/23).
