CLAREMONT, Calif. (9/11/05) -- Aili Brom-Palkowski (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) scored the lone goal of the game in the 18th minute, as Augsburg College remained unbeaten with a 1-0 win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (Calif.) in a nonconference women's soccer game on Sunday afternoon at CMS.

With the win, Augsburg remains unbeaten at 3-0-2 on the season. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, ranked No. 8 in the West Region in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III regional polls, is now 2-1-0 overall. CMS gave up its first goal of the season to Augsburg.

Brom-Palkowski scored on an assist from Emily Anderson * (Jr., Hudson, Wis.). Maggie DeGroot (Fr., Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha West HS) recorded her third shutout of the season in goal, making 10 saves.

Augsburg opens Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Wednesday (9/14) at 7:30 p.m., hosting St. Olaf at Edor Nelson Field.
