TOURNAMENT STATS

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (9/2-3/05) -- Billie Painschab * (Sr., Howard Lake, Minn./Howard Lake-Waverly HS) earned all-tournament team honors for Augsburg College, as the Auggie women's volleyball team opened its season with a 1-3 record at the Northwestern College-Roseville Labor Day Weekend Tournament on Friday and Saturday at the Reynolds Center.

On Friday, Augsburg opened the tournament with two losses, falling in three games to Wisconsin-Superior (30-15, 30-22, 30-24) and in three games to Macalester (30-27, 30-19, 30-26). On Saturday, the Auggies opened the day with a four-game victory over Northland (Wis.) (30-26, 30-12, 24-30, 30-18), before falling in three games to host Northwestern (30-17, 30-15, 30-22).

Painschab, a middle hitter, hit .250 with 19 kills and added a team-high 10 blocks (five solo) on the weekend.

Linnea Evans * (Sr., Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS) led the Auggies with 24 kills, hitting .227, while also contributing 21 digs and a team-high 13 service aces. Evans, an outside hitter, also saw her first action in her collegiate career as a setter, contributing 41 assists on the weekend.

Britt Bogner (Sr., Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had 23 kills and two blocks on the weekend, while Dani Boner (Fr., Omaha, Neb./Mercy HS) contributed 18 kills and 29 digs. Katie LaGrave (So., Okinawa, Japan/Kadena HS) had 17 kills and eight blocks (three solo), and Kristina Lurken (So., Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS) contributed 17 kills.

Alexis Johnson (Sr., Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul HS) had 40 assists and 14 digs on the weekend to go with eight service aces, and Haley Bower (So., Brainerd, Minn.) contributed 59 digs and seven aces from the libero position.

Augsburg has a nonconference match at North Central (Minn.) on Wednesday (9/7) at 4:30 p.m. in Minneapolis.
