WINONA, Minn. -- A goal early in the second half gave host St. Mary's University a 1-0 victory over Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer game on Wednesday evening at Ochrymowycz Field.
Amy Sibik scored a goal off a feed from Kierra Metcalfe in the 50th minute for St. Mary's (9-7-1 overall, 3-6-1 MIAC), which snapped Augsburg's (5-7-5 overall, 2-6-2 MIAC) three-game unbeaten streak (2-0-1).

Diana Bocklund (FY, Mahtomedi, Minn.) had four saves in the contest, as St. Mary's outshot Augsburg by a 10-9 margin. Mariana Sanchez had five saves for the shutout for the Cardinals. Augsburg had five corner kicks to the Cardinals' one in the contest.

Lacey Hoover (JR, Duluth, Minn./Central HS) and

Augsburg closes its 2009 season on Saturday (10/31) at 6 p.m., hosting Gustavus Adolphus at Edor Nelson Field.
