BOXSCORE ST. PETER, Minn. --
Colleen Ourada (SR, Omaha, Minn./Mercy HS) became Augsburg College's career leader in kills, recording 11 to lead the No. 17-ranked Auggies to their 17th straight victory, a sweep of host Gustavus Adolphus College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball match on Wednesday at Gus Young Court.
The Auggies (21-2 overall, 6-0 MIAC), ranked No. 17 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III national poll, claimed the win over the Gusties (8-12 overall, 3-3 MIAC) by scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-10. The Auggies have won their last 17 matches in a row, and won 17 matches by three-set sweep, including the last six in a row and 15 times in their current 17-match winning streak.
With her 13-kill effort, Ourada is now the career kill leader in Augsburg history with 1,035. She passed Angie Rieger '00, who previously held the record with 1,030 kills (1997-2000). Ourada led the way for the Auggies, picking up her 11th kill-dig double-double of the year, adding 10 digs, a block, an ace and an assist, while hitting .429.Â
Ashley Peper (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) was the only other Auggie in double figures with 11 kills, four digs, two assists, and a service ace, while hitting .458.
Taylor Trautman (FY, Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS) continued her strong rookie campaign  picking up eight digs and two blocks (one solo) as a middle hitter.Â
Setter
Emily McCourt (SR, Sun Prairie, Wis.) finished with a match-best 33 assists, six digs, three kills and a service ace, while
Jaelyn Arndt (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS) finished with five kills.
Katelyn Berens (SR, Jordan, Minn./Prior Lake HS) was a stalwart defensively, finishing with 10 digs in the three-set match, while
Mackensie Menke (JR, Prior Lake, Minn./Shakopee HS) chipped in eight.Â
Gustavus did not have a hitter reach double-digit kill totals, but Alyssa Taylor and Emily Gilman each picked up six kills, while setter Kendra Weege finished with 13 kills and three digs.
In an interesting storyline to the match, the Gusties' head coach, Rachel Sherden, got married over the summer and Augsburg head coach
Jane Becker was a bridesmaid for Sherden (formerly Dosch), who also did coach Becker the honor of standing as a bridesmaid in her wedding in December of 2010. The two played together at the University of St. Thomas -- Sherden as a four-year starter and three-time All-MIAC honoree as an outside hitter, and Becker (formerly Gibbs) as a two-time AVCA Division III All-American as a setter. She earned All-MIAC honors each of her four seasons (2000-03), and was named MIAC Player of the Year in 2003.Â

The Auggies return to action Saturday (10/12) when they travel to Eau Claire, Wis. to compete in the Wisconsin-Eau Claire Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament. They play Wisconsin-Stout at 12 p.m. and Wisconsin-La Crosse at 2 p.m.Â
