MINNEAPOLIS -- Four Augsburg University volleyball players --
Taylor Hoehns (SR, Cedar Falls, Iowa/Dike-New Hartford HS),
Jovial King (JR, Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS),
Maggie Lile (JR, Spring Grove, Minn./Spring Grove HS) and
Elise Uphoff (JR, Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield HS) -- were named to the Academic All-District Volleyball Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), it was announced on Tuesday.
It's the second straight CSC Academic All-District honor for Hoehns, and the first for the other three Auggies. All four earned Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors last year, with Hoehns also earning the honor in 2023. All four will earn the honor for this season, when the Academic All-MIAC fall sports awards are announced later in the school year. Hoehns is a biochemistry major with a 3.99 grade-point average, King is an accounting major with a 4.00 GPA, Lile is an environmental studies and communications major with a 3.93 GPA, and Uphoff is a biochemistry major with a 4.00 GPA.

A right-side hitter, Hoehns competed in all 30 matches (99 sets) for the Auggies this season, collecting 170 kills (1.72 per-set), with 32 blocks (2 solo, 0.32 per-set) and 73 digs (0.74 per-set). She had 16 matches with six or more kills this season, including season-bests of 13 kills three times. She also had four blocks in a four-set win over Macalester on Oct. 24. Playing in 91 career matches (273 sets), Hoehns recorded 403 kills (1.48 per-set), with 64 blocks (4 solo, 0.23 per-set) and 187 digs (0.68 per-set).

A setter,
King earned All-MIAC honors this season, the first conference honor of her career. Playing in all 30 matches and in 109 of 111 sets, King made an impact throughout the rotation for the Auggies, claiming 990 assists (9.08 per-set) with 327 digs (3.00 per-set), 64 blocks (four solo, 0.59 per-set), 93 kills (0.85 per-set) and 34 service aces (0.31 per-set). Her 990 assists were second-most among MIAC setters, with her 9.08 assists per-set average third-best. This season, she had 20 matches with 30 or more assists, and 15 assist-dig double-doubles, giving her 21 double-doubles in her Augsburg career.
King has played in 85 matches (298 sets) in her Augsburg career, with 1,819 assists (6.10 per-set), currently ninth-most in school history, with her 6.10 per-set average also ninth-best. She has 616 career digs (2.07 per-set), 88 blocks (seven solo, 0.30 per-set), 69 service aces (0.23 per-set) and 144 kills (0.48 per-set).

Augsburg's primary libero/defensive specialist this season, Lile finished with 443 digs (4.14 per-set) in 29 matches (107 sets), adding 95 assists (0.89 per-set) and a team-best 41 service aces (0.44 per-set). Her 443 digs were fourth-most among MIAC setters, with her 4.14 average tied for fifth-best, while her 47 aces were fourth-most in the MIAC, with her 0.44 average seventh-best. She had 21 matches with double-digit dig totals, including a season-best 27 in a four-set loss to Lawrence (Wis.) on Aug. 30 and in a five-set loss to St. Olaf on Nov. 1. She has played in 69 matches (187 sets) in her career, with 511 digs (2.73 per-set) and 57 service aces (0.30 per-set).

Also a libero/defensive specialist, Uphoff played in all 30 matches (110 sets) this season, with 235 digs (2.14 per-set), 35 assists (0.32 per-est) and 16 service aces (0.15 per-set). She recorded double-digit dig totals in 10 matches in 2025, including a season-best 19 in a five-set loss to Gallaudet (D.C.) on Aug. 29. In 76 career matches (219 sets), Uphoff has 370 digs (1.69 per-set), 24 aces (0.11 per-set) and 70 assists (0.32 per-set).
Under first-year head coach
Jay Kam, Augsburg finished the 2025 campaign with an overall record of 11-19, holding a 5-6 record in conference play. The Auggies reached the MIAC postseason playoffs for the seventh time in the last nine full seasons, and the 11th time since the conference went to a six-team postseason playoff in the 2001 season.
The CSC Academic All-District team is part of the
CSC Academic All-America program. Student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.50 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in December.
The Division III Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Division III Academic All-America teams program.
