MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College volleyball team made quick work of Bethel University on Wednesday night at Si Melby Hall. The Auggies swept the Royals in a key matchup of two of the top four teams in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Augsburg was led by Ashley Peper (JR, Bloomington, Jefferson HS), who recorded 15 kills in three sets with a .312 attack percentage, to go along with 11 digs, two service aces, an assist and a block.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Peper recorded her eighth kill-dig double-double of the season and sixth in her last seven matches. Peper hit .312, with five errors in 32 attack attempts.
• Colleen Ourada (SR, Omaha, Neb./Mercy HS) recorded nine kills, ten digs and two blocks, while Ellen Sachs (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) finished with eight kills and five digs. Jessica Lillquist (JR, Sebeka, Minn.) recorded six kills with a .385 attack percentage, to go along with three digs and one block. 
• Libero Mackensie Menke (SR, Prior Lake, Minn./Shakopee HS) recorded 15 digs and two service aces. 
• Setter Courtney Lemke (SO, Brownton, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake HS) recorded 37 assists and 12 digs, claiming her eighth assist-dig double-double of the season. Lemke also recorded two kills and one block.
• DeeDee Maier (SO, Middleton, Wis.) finished with 13 digs, and Kyle Everett recorded nine digs. Taylor Linn (FY, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) finished with a team-high three blocks, to go along with two kills.  

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Peper and Ourada lead the MIAC in both total kills and kills-per-set. Peper with 291 total kills and 3.99 kills-per-set, while Ourada has tallied 247 kills and 3.69 kills-per-set.
• Lemke is second in the MIAC in assists-per-set with 10.95, while Menke is fourth in the MIAC in total digs with 355. 
• Augsburg's Linn and Cailen Giese (FY, New Richmond, Wis.) are currently tied for third in the conference in blocks-per-set with 0.86. 

FOR THE FOES
• Kristin Stern led the Royals with 12 kills, while Maddison Messner led them with 15 digs. Tegan LaBerge recorded nine kills, five blocks and two digs. 
• Carlee Hoppe and Nicole Deberry each recorded six kills, while Hoppe finished with 10 digs as well.
