Auggies score 1-1 draw with No. 10-ranked Bethel

MINNEAPOLIS -- Kayla Fuechtmann (JR, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) scored the game-tying goal for Augsburg College in the second period, and Erika Allen (JR, Roseville, Minn.) recorded 27 saves in goal, as the Auggies scored a 1-1, overtime tie with Bethel University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey game on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After Bethel took the lead with a goal 1:26 into the second period, Fuechtmann tied the game at 1-1 with her third goal of the season, assisted by Megan Robertson (FY, Boissevain, Manitoba).
• Bethel outshot Augsburg by a 28-20 margin, including a 2-1 advantage in overtime. The Royals had a power play opportunity in overtime, but were unable to score.
• Fuechtmann had four shots on-goal for the Auggies, while Megan Bergland (JR, Thief River Falls, Minn.) had three shots.


FOR THE FOES
• Bethel entered the game ranked No. 10 in the latest U.S. College Hockey Online Division III national poll.
• Kalie Johnson opened the scoring for Bethel with a power-play goal 1:26 into the second period, assisted by Natalie Simons and Karly Vohden.
