THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.. -- Abbey Luger (SR, Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul HS) scored 12 points and added three rebounds to lead Augsburg College in a 52-40 loss to California Lutheran University in nonconference women's basketball action on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• A tough shooting night plagued the Auggies in the opening contest of a three-game road series in California. Augsburg shot a season-low 30.4 percent (17-of-56) from the field and was only able to connect on 3-of-18 from beyong the arc.
• Luger scored her 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the floor, while adding three rebounds, a pair of assists and a pair of steals.
• Also scoring in double figures for the Auggies was Jessica Lillquist (JR, Sebeka, Minn./Sebeka HS) who nearly posted a double-double, finishing the night with 11 points and nine rebounds, while adding two assists and two steals.

FOR THE FOES
• Cal Lutheran was led offensively by Jessica Salottolo, who scored 11 points and added three rebounds.
• The Regals shot 37.3 percent (19-of-51) from the field and were able to claim a 46-29 advantage on the boards.
