Olmscheid leads Auggies past Montana Western

DICKINSON, N.D. -- Collin Olmscheid (FY, Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS) scored a career-high 25 points to lead the Augsburg College men's basketball team to a 68-65 victory over the University of Montana Western in nonconference action on Saturday afternoon at the Dickinson State University Milanovich Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Olmscheid led all players with 25 points, connecting on 10-of-13 from the field and 3-of-4 from three-point range. He added four rebounds and a pair of blocks to his impressive stat line.
• Augsburg shot 50.0 percent (26-of-52) from the field and claimed a 29-28 advantage on the boards.
• Also scoring in double figures for Augsburg was Brett Rasmussen (SO, Lakeville, Minn./North HS), who scored 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor, while adding three rebounds and a steal.

FOR THE FOES
• Montana Western finished with three players in double figures, led offensively by Quinn Smith and Shyke Smalls, who finished with 15 points apiece. 
• Montana shot 43.6 percent (24-of-55) from the field and 45.5 percent (5-of-11) from 3-point range.

• Augsburg returns to action on Wednesday (12/3) at 7 p.m., hosting Carleton at Si Melby Hall in the MIAC opener for both teams.
