• Scott scored on Augsburg's first overtime session with a four-yard run, but the extra point attempt was blocked by Anthony Hill (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS).
• On Hamline's first play of its overtime session, Nachtrieb rushed for a 25-yard touchdown, and Forrest Coughlin's (JR, Maple Lake, Minn.) extra point sealed the win.
• Scott completed 19-of-31 passing for 353 yards and a touchdown, while rushing 23 times for 158 yards and two touchdowns -- a seven-yard run in the third quarter and the four-yard run in overtime.
• Joey Sonnenfeld (JR, Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo HS) caught eight passes for 153 yards, including a 28-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter.• Jerise Washington (SR, Roseville, Minn./Mounds View HS) accumulated 183 all-purpose yards -- catching six passes for 123 yards and rushing 21 times for 60 yards, including a two-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter.
• Isaac Hove (FY, Burnsville, Minn.) led the Auggie defense with 11 tackles (eight solo), adding a forced fumble.
• Denzel Anderson (JR, Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) had nine tackles (six solo), and Felix Coleman (SR, Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) had seven tackles (three solo). Tyler Sis (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) had a sack.
• Isiah Malone (FY, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Park Center HS) and Bryce Nelson (JR, New Brighton, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) had interceptions for the Auggies.BEYOND THE BOXSCORE• Hamline claimed "The Hammer," the traveling trophy between the two schools, for just the second time in the 10 trophy-game meetings between the two schools, dating to the 2005 season.
• Augsburg outgained Hamline by a 586-333 margin in the game, but turned the ball over four times on fumbles.FOR THE FOES• Nachtrieb rushed 15 times for 67 yards and two touchdowns for the Pipers.
• Tim Bona (JR, Columbia Heights, Minn.) completed 27-of-40 passing for 230 yards and a touchdown, a six-yard pass to Philip Sherman (JR, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.) in the third quarter. Sherman caught nine passes for 98 yards to lead the Pipers.• Hill led the way for the Piper defense with 10 tackles (seven solo) and two forced fumbles, while Jonny Nguyen (SO, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) and TaSawn Burton (SO, Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial HS) had nine tackles each. Corey Touchette (SR, Bainbridge Island, Wash.) had two sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recover, along with his eight tackles in the game.
