RECORDS: Augsburg 1-2 MIAC (5-4 overall), St. Thomas 3-0 MIAC (7-0 overall)HOW IT HAPPENED• Augsburg began in the game in a shooting slump, falling behind 19-2 as a tough St. Thomas team proved too much for the Auggies.
• Bednar led the Auggies in scoring for the first time this season, putting up 12 points on a 5-of-7 shooting performance.
• Also scoring in double figures for the Auggies was Jessica Lillquist (JR, Sebeka, Minn./Sebeka HS) and Abbey Luger (SR, Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul HS). Lillquist scored 11 points, while adding a pair of rebounds and an assist. Luger finished with 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and a game-high five steals.• The Auggies forced 18 St. Thomas turnovers, while only committing 11. Augsburg outscored the Tommies 20-9 in points off turnovers.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 38.3 percent (18-of-47) from the field but struggled from three-point range, only connecting on 20.0 percent (3-of-15).FOR THE FOES• The Tommies finished with three players in double figures, led by Elaine Warner, who came off the bench to score 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor, while adding four assists and three rebounds.
