Auggies edged in overtime at Grinnell

GRINNELL, Iowa -- Despite outshooting the hosts by a 21-7 margin, a goal 9:34 into overtime sent Augsburg College to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Grinnell College in a nonconference women's soccer game on Saturday afternoon at Springer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg outshot Grinnell by a 21-7 margin -- 10-1 in the first half and 10-2 in the second half. But Grinnell outshot Augsburg by a 4-1 margin in the second half. Augsburg also had nine corner kicks to Grinnell's one in the game.
• Olivia Muyres (SR, Rochester, Minn./Lourdes HS) had four shots for Augsburg, while Carter Denison (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) and Abi Rodstein (SR, Eagan, Minn.) had three shots each.
• Marissa Guillou (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS), in her first collegiate start in goal for the Auggies, recorded four saves.

FOR THE FOES
• Kitt Richards scored the game-winning goal for Grinnell at the 99:34 mark of the game, assisted by Carolyn Silverman.
• Katy Oldach had 10 saves in goal for Grinnell.
