Auggies edged by No. 6-ranked Gusties

MINNEAPOLIS -- Kayla Fuechtmann (JR, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) gave the Augsburg College women's hockey team a 1-0 lead in the third period, but Gustavus Adolphus College rallied with two goals in a four-minute span, claiming a 2-1 win in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest on Saturday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

• After a scoreless first two periods, Fuechtmann put the Auggies on the scoreboard with her sixth goal of the season, a power-play marker assisted by Claire Cripps (JR, Hutchinson, Minn.).
• Gustavus outshot Augsburg by a 26-19 margin in the game.
• Erika Allen (JR, Roseville, Minn.) collected 24 saves in goal for the Auggies.
• Augsburg went 1-of-8 on the power play, while Gustavus went 1-for-7.
• Kayla Fuechtmann (JR, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) had six shots on-goal for the Auggies, while Ashley Kloncz (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) had four shots and Megan Robertson (FY, Boissevain, Manitoba) had two shots.
