Auggies score 2-2 OT draw at Concordia

MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Erika Allen (JR, Roseville, Minn.) had 28 saves in goal, and Kendall Christian (SR, Moorhead, Minn.) and Ashley Kloncz (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) scored goals for Augsburg College, as the Auggies claimed a 2-2 overtime tie with host Concordia College-Moorhead in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey contest on Friday evening at the Moorhead Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg took a 2-0 lead into the third period, but Concordia scored two goals in a 27-second span late in regulation to force overtime.
• Christian opened the scoring with her first goal of the season just 1:33 into the game, an unassisted marker.
• Kloncz gave the Auggies a 2-0 lead with a goal at the 12:52 mark of the third period, assisted by Callen Naasz (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS).
• Concordia outshot Augsburg by a 30-21 margin, including a 15-9 advantage in the third period. Allen had 28 saves in goal for the Auggies.
Halie Gudmonson (SO, Albertville, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) had six shots on-goal for Augsburg, while Kayla Fuechtmann (JR, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) had four shots.

• Kloncz is tied for the 12th-most total points (11) among MIAC players in overall statistics, with her eight assists tied for seventh-most.

FOR THE FOES
• Concordia scored twice on a five-minute power play late in the game, following an Augsburg major penalty.
• Morgan Bruns scored at the 17:09 mark from Madison Gendreau and Bekah Wright, and Chelsey Petrich scored an unassisted goal at the 17:36 mark.
