Anderson has 3-point night in Auggie 4-2 win

MINNEAPOLIS -- Drew Anderson (FY, Rochester, Minn./Century HS) scored two goals and added an assist for a three-point night, leading Augsburg College to a 4-2 victory over Concordia College-Moorhead in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey game on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Anderson claimed his second multi-goal game of his career, scoring the final two goals of the game for the Auggies. He scored from Daniel Hildebrandt (SR, Monument, Colo./Pine Creek HS) at the 19:11 mark of the second period, then gave the Auggies an important insurance goal at the 13:50 mark of the third period, assisted by Max Pernhem (FY, Stockholm, Sweden/Dragonskolan) and Mack Ohnsted (JR, Vernon Hills, Ill./Adali E. Stevenson HS).
• Pernhem opened the scoring for the Auggies at the 17:50 mark of the first period, scoring from Anderson and Ohnsted. It marked Pernhem's first multi-point game of his collegiate career.
• Will Peterson (FY, Eagan, Minn.) scored his second collegiate goal at the 19:51 mark of the first period, scoring from Drew Allen (Jr, Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley HS) and Dylan Meier (SO, Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista HS).
• Augsburg outshot Concordia by a 27-25 margin. Augsburg goalie Fredrik Melander (SO, Uppsala, Sweden/Trinity-Pawling Prep (N.Y.) HS) had 23 saves.
• Anderson had five shots on-goal for Augsburg, while Ohnsted, Peterson and Lucas Hendrickson (JR, Savage, Minn./Burnsville HS) had three shots each.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Ohnsted now has a team-best 19 points (10 goals, nine assists), third among MIAC players in overall statistics in points, tied for third in goals and tied for ninth in assists.
• Anderson is now tied for sixth among MIAC rookies in total points (11), with his five goals tied for fourth-most among league rookies and his six assists tied for seventh.
• Augsburg's 3.06 goals per-game is second among MIAC teams in overall statistics.

• Charlie Aus had a goal and an assist for the Cobbers, scoring at the 9:43 mark of the third period, assisted by Jon Grebosky and Zach Doerring.
• Rylan Henley scored the Cobbers' first goal at the 19:45 mark of the second period, assisted by Aus.
• Jordyn Kaufer had 23 saves in goal for Concordia.
