Auggies dominate in 3-0 win over MLC

MINNEAPOLIS -- Barinedum Kordah (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) scored a goal and had an assist, leading the Augsburg College men's soccer team in a 3-0 nonconference victory over Martin Luther College on Monday afternoon at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg controlled the action throughout the game, claiming a 25-7 advantage in shots and an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.
• Aaron Wylie (SR, Des Moines, Iowa/Lincoln HS) opened the scoring with a goal at the 19:29 mark, scoring off a flick by Christian Metzger (FY, Savage, Minn./Prior Lake HS) and feed by Ngochinyan Ollor (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS).
• Kordah scored fro the Auggies at the 27:37 mark, putting home a rebound off an initial shot by Jake Gilmer (FY, Independence, Minn./Orono HS).
• Charlie Leslie (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) finished the scoring for Augsburg, heading home a goal off feeds from Brandon Mundahl (FY, Richfield, Minn./Bloomington Jefferson HS) and Kordah.
• Metzger had five shots in the game for the Auggies, while Abdullah Alyshayba (FY, Alkhobar, Saudi Arabia) had three shots.
• Nick Lenertz (JR, Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) picked up his second shutout of the season in goal, claiming three saves.

• Josh Koelpin and Erich Osterman had two shots each for Martin Luther.
• Caleb King had five saves for Martin Luther in 49 minutes, before being relieved by Gabriel Plocher.
