Auggies score 3-1 win, take down Pipers

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College volleyball team improved to 16-6 overall with a win in four sets over Hamline University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match on Wednesday evening at Si Melby Hall.

RECORDS: Augsburg 16-6 overall (5-4 MIAC), Hamline 10-13 overall (2-6 MIAC) 

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ashley Peper (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) recorded 21 kills to lead Augsburg in the victory. She hit .359, with seven errors in 39 attack attempts. Peper added 10 digs, four service aces and three blocks.
• Middle hitter Jessica Lillquist (SR, Sebeka, Minn.) also had a strong night, hitting 474, with nine kills and zero errors in 19 attack attempts, while also contributing four blocks.
• Jaelyn Arndt (SR, Minnepaolis, Minn./Washburn HS) recorded seven kills and four blocks (two solo).
• Setter Courtney Lemke (JR, Brownton, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake HS) finished with 26 assists, 17 digs and five aces, while Morgan Malley (FY, Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) tallied 14 assists and five digs. 
• Augsburg had 10 team blocks and 10 service aces in the match, while Hamline finished with six and five respectively. 

FOR THE FOES
• Julia Zolnosky led the Pipers with 13 kills and 17 digs, while Jena Meyer finished with 10 kills.
• Amelia Jensen had 34 assists and Miquel Green had 23 digs.
