Auggies score 1-0 win over St. Scholastica

MINNEAPOLIS -- Carter Denison (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) scored a goal in the 18th minute, the only goal in Augsburg College's 1-0 win over the College of St. Scholastica in nonconference women's soccer action on Monday evening at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Denison scored an unassisted goal at the 17:58 mark, popping the ball over the St. Scholastica goalkeeper's head from the top of the penalty box.
• Augsburg outshot St. Scholastica by an 18-12 margin in the game. Denison and Marta Anderson (JR, Mankato, Minn./Mankato East HS) had three shots each for the Auggies, with Brigette Jira (FY, Fort Atkinson, Wis.), Nora Edelen (FY, Middleton, Wis.) and Jane Koch (FY, Burnsville, Minn.) adding two shots each.
• Lucy Bukowski (SR, Two Harbors, Minn.) had four saves in goal to improve to 3-0-0 on the season for the Auggies with her first shutout of the season and second of her collegiate career.
