COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --
Jessica Lillquist (SR, Sebeka, Minn./Sebeka HS) posted a career-high in both points and rebounds in leading the Augsburg College women's basketball team to an 80-71 victory over North Central College (Ill.) in the Colorado College Tournament at Reid Arena on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED• Augsburg trailed after the first quarter, but was able to take a 42-34 advantage into the locker room at the intermission. North Central was able to tie things up in the third quarter after an 8-0 run but Augsburg, never relinquished the lead as the Auggies posted a very solid victory over a team that was an NCAA tournament qualifier with a 22-6 record last season ago.• Lillquist posted a career best 32 points to lead the Auggies, on 14-of-20 shooting from the floor, while also posting a career-best 15 rebounds. The double-double marks the third of her Auggie career. Lillquist also added three assists and a blocked shot to her afternoon.
• Hannah Steinhaus (SO, Waterville, Minn./Waterville-Elysian-Morristown HS) also posted a double-double -- the first of her career -- scoring 11 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, while adding four assists and a steal.
• Also scoring in double figures for the Auggies was Bridget Bednar (SO, Pierz, Minn./Pierz HS), who put up 13 points and six rebounds.• For the game, Augsburg shot 37.2 percent (29-of-78) from the floor, while North Central connected on 28.1 percent (25-of-89) of its field-goal attempts. The Auggies held the Cardinals to a season-low 12.2 percent from 3-point range (6-of-49).
• Augsburg claimed a 60-59 advantage on the boards and a 48-34 advantage in points in the paint.
FOR THE FOES• North Central College finished with two players in double figures, Mayson Whipple and Paula Zernate finished with 12 points apiece.
• The Cardinals Jamie Cuny lead all players with 16 rebounds.
