Hannah Steinhaus (SO, Waterville, Minn./Waterville-Elysian-Morristown HS) used a career-high 18 points to lead the the Augsburg College women's basketball team to a 69-46 victory over Lewis and Clark College on Saturday afternoon at Reid Areana. HOW IT HAPPENED• After a back-and-forth first few minutes of action, Augsburg was able to extend its lead to 32-21 at the intermission. The Auggies led by as many as 26 points in the contest and with the win secured a 3-0 record on their Colorado road trip.• Steinhaus led the Auggie offense, posting a career-high 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting, while adding six rebounds.•
Jessica Lillquist (SR, Sebeka, Minn.) continued her strong weekend, posting 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds, while adding four assists and two blocked shots.
• 14 different Auggies saw action in the contest and 10 factored into the scoring.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 45.9 percent (28-of-61) from the floor, while Lewis & Clark connected on 31.4 percent (16-of-51) of its field-goal attempts.
• Augsburg claimed a 34-22 advantage in points in the paint and a 28-14 advantage in bench points.
FOR THE FOES• Lewis and Clark finished with two players in double figures, led by Miyah Leith, who posted 12 points and five board.
