Auggies open series with 4-1 win over Oles

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- Megan Robertson (SO, Boissevain, Manitoba) scored a goal and added an assist, leading the Augsburg College women's hockey team in a 4-1 win over host St. Olaf College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game on Friday at the Northfield Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Robertson figured in the scoring on the first and last goal for the Auggies, assisting on the game's first goal, by Darby Lindgren (JR, Lakeville, Minn.) at the 16:53 mark of the second period, and scoring an unassisted goal to close the scoring at the 18:15 mark of the third period.
• Forty-three seconds after Lindgren's opening goal, the Auggies took a 2-0 lead, as Callen Naasz (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) scored from Kayla Fuechtmann (SR, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS).
• The Auggies scored two unassisted goals in a 30-second span late in the game, with a goal by Ashley Kloncz (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) at the 17:45 mark of the third period preceeding Robertson's goal.
• Both teams had 18 shots on-goal in the contest. Naasz, Kloncz and Taral Clayton (SO, Anchorage, Alaska/Dimond HS) had three shots each.
• Erika Allen (SR, Roseville, Minn.) collected 17 saves in goal for the Auggies.


FOR THE FOES
• St. Olaf's long goal came at the 8:55 mark of the third period, when Hannah Forliti scored from Jane Vezina.
• Mae Morris had 14 saves in goal for St. Olaf.
