WINONA, Minn. -- The Augsburg College men's basketball team fell 68-65 to Saint Mary's University in

HOW IT HAPPENED• The Auggies led for 32 minutes in the contest -- including leading by as many as 18 points at the 17:53 mark of the second frame -- but couldn't hold on as the Cardinals rallied in the second half to steal the three-point victory.
• Augsburg finished with four players in double figures, led by Collin Olmscheid (SO, Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS), who posted his first double-double of the season and second of his career with a 16-point, 13-rebound effort. Brett Rasmussen (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) also had a strong night for the Auggies, nearly claiming a double-double of his own with a 16-point, nine-rebound performance.
• Also finishing in double figures for the Auggies were Joe Zangel (SR, Richfield, Minn./St. Louis Park HS), who finished with 14 points and a pair of rebounds, and Harry Sonie (SO, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS), who put up 10 points and added a pair of assists.• For the game, Augsburg shot 41.8 percent (23-of-55) from the floor, while Cardinals connected on 45.6 percent (26-of-57) of their field-goal attempts.• Augsburg claimed a 36-35 advantage on the boards, but was unfortunately only able to connect on 14-of-25 from the free-throw line.
• The loss to the Cardinals snaps a 12-game win streak for the Auggies over Saint Mary's dating back to the 2009 season.FOR THE FOES• Saint Mary's finished with two players in double figures, led by Kevin Gleason, who finished with a game-high 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor.
• Connor Kaiser posted 17 points and added a pair of steals and rebounds for the Cardinals.
