Abbey Luger (SR, Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul HS) scored 20 points to lead the Augsburg College women's basketball team to a 50-46 victory over St. Olaf College in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday evening at the Skoglund Center.THE BASICSFINAL SCORE: Augsburg 50, St. Olaf 46

HOW IT HAPPENED• Augsburg led for nearly 38 minutes of the game, including holding an 11 point advantage a the half. The Auggies were able to hold off a St. Olaf rally to claim the important 50-46 MIAC victory.
• Augsburg's Jenna Orth (JR, Melrose, Minn.) went 4-for-4 from the free throw line in the final 19 seconds to seal the victory for the Auggies. Orth finished the game with six points and a team-high eight rebounds.
• Luger posted her third 20-plus scoring performance of the season, finishing with 20 points, which included five 3-pointers, while adding six rebounds.
• Jessica Lillquist (JR, Sebeka, Minn./Sebeka HS) also finished in double figures for the Auggies, finishing with 13 points, which included a 7-of-8 night at the free throw line.• For the game, Augsburg shot 42.9 percent (15-of-35) from the field, while St. Olaf connected 33.3 percent (15-of-45) of its shot attempts.• The teams posted an identitical 26 rebounds and 15 turnovers.• Augsburg had a very strong night at the free throw line, finishing 15-of-18 from the charity stripe.FOR THE FOES• St. Olaf finished with two players in double figures, led by Nikki Frogner, who finished with 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
• The Oles were led on the boards by Betsey Daly, who pulled down eight rebounds and added 10 points.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE• With the win, the Auggies remain tied with the College of Saint Benedict for the sixth and final playoff shot.
