LOCATION: Northfield Ice Arena, Northfield, Minn.
RECORDS: Augsburg 11-13-0 overall (8-7-0 MIAC), St. Olaf 6-15-3 overall (4-9-2 MIAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Flynn scored the game-winning goal at the 1:36 mark of overtime, on assists by Evan Hesse (FY, Monticello, Minn./Palmer (Alaska) HS) and Corbin Chapman (SO, Burnsville, Minn.).
• Chapman opened the scoring with a goal halfway through the second period, assisted by Ben McClellan (SR, Cottage Grove, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) and Mack Ohnsted (JR, Vernon Hills, Ill./Adali E. Stevenson HS).
Drew Anderson (FY, Rochester, Minn./Century HS) gave the Auggies a 2-0 lead with a goal from Ohnsted and Chris Nuth (SO, Trabuco Canyon, Calif./Mission Viejo HS) at the 3:56 mark of the third period.
Drew Allen (JR, Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley HS) gave the Auggies a 3-1 lead with a goal at the 9:00 makrk of the third period, assisted by Dylan Meier (SO, Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista HS).
• Augsburg outshot St. Olaf by a 42-31 margin in the game, with John Bretzman (SR, Mendota Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS) collecting 28 saves in goal for the win for the Auggies.
• Hesse had six shots on-goal to lead the Auggies, while Allen and Ohnsted had five shots each.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg stands in a fifth-place tie with Saint John's with 24 league points, but Saint John's has already completed its regular season, while Augsburg has its regular-season finale on Saturday (2/21) against St. Olaf. Should the Auggies win or tie the Oles on Saturday, the Auggies would clinch their first berth in the MIAC's postseason playoffs since the 2010-11 season.
• If the Auggies lose to St. Olaf on Saturday and Gustavus (21 league points) loses or ties in its finale at home against Bethel, Augsburg would clinch a playoff berth based on tiebreaker criteria. Augsburg and Saint John's split their conference series earlier this season, but the Auggies would have eight league wins compared to the Johnnies' seven, giving the Auggies the advantage in the league's No. 2 tiebreaker criteria.
• If the Auggies lose to St. Olaf on Saturday and Gustavus beats Bethel, leaving a three-way tie for fifth place in the MIAC standings with 24 points each, Saint John's would receive the final playoff berth based on combined results from the three teams' games against each other. Saint John's would be 2-1-1, while Augsburg would be 2-2-0 and Gustavus would be 1-2-1.

• Ohnsted's two-assist effort gives him 60 points (21 goals, 39 assists) in his 74-game college career. His team-best 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) put him in a tie for fourth among MIAC players in overall statistics in the category. His 13 goals put him tied for fourth-most in the category, while his 12 assists are tied for 12th-most.
• Chapman's team-best 14 assists put him tied for sixth among MIAC players in overall assists. He is in ninth place among all MIAC players with 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists).
• McClellan now has 75 points (38 goals, 37 assists) in 94 career games.

• Mark Rath, Steven Sherman and Nick Marsh scored third-period goals for St. Olaf to tie the game and force overtime.
• Matt Guerts assisted on all three Ole goals, while Peter Lindblad had two assists.
• Steve Papciak had 38 saves in goal for St. Olaf.

UP NEXT
