Fuechtmann's goal gives Auggies 1-1 draw with Cardinals

WINONA, Minn. -- Kayla Fuechtmann (JR, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) tied the game at 1-1 with an unassisted goal midway through the third period, lifting Augsburg College to an overtime draw with Saint Mary's University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey action on Friday evening at the SMU Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Fuechtmann scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season, an unassisted marker at the 11:20 mark of the third period, tying the game at 1-1. 
• Augsburg was outshot by a 30-23 margin by the Cardinals. Augsburg goalie Erika Allen (JR, Roseville, Minn.) had 29 saves in the contest.
• Fuechtmann had seven shots on-goal for the Auggies, while Brenna Nakonechny (JR, Grand Forks, N.D./Red River HS) and Claire Cripps (JR, Hutchinson, Minn.) had three shots each.
