Auggies fall 14-9 at North Central (Ill.)

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Delaney Everett (FY, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored three goals to lead Augsburg College, but the Auggies saw their three-game winning streak snapped with a 14-9 loss to North Central College in a women's lacrosse game on Friday evening at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• North Central outshot Augsburg by a 31-11 margin and claimed 43 ground balls to Augsburg's 29 in the win. North Central also claimed 15 draw controls to Augsburg's 10, and had 12 successful clears in 18 attempts, compared to Augsburg's 10-of-23.
• Everett's three goals give her a team-high 26 on the season. Adding three assists, she now has a team-best 29 points.
• Ashley Pettipiece (FY, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) scored two goals and added an assist for a three-point night. Pettipiece stands second on the team with 21 goals and 26 points. She also led the team with four draw controls and added four ground balls.

• Rachel Frantz (SO, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) scored a goal with two assists for the Auggies.
• Dezera Sieracki (SO, Wyoming, Minn./Centennial HS), Shelby Brion (SO, Clearwater, Minn./Monticello HS) and Lexi Halvorson (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) also scored goals.

• Goalie Marissa Guillou (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had 13 saves in a losing effort. She also had a team-high six ground balls.

FOR THE FOES
• Gina Fisher scored five goals and added an assist to lead North Central, with Kassie Whaling adding four goals. Claire Norfleet had two goals and two assists, with Jordyn McFarlane, Kara Stevens and Kailey Robbins adding goals.
• Fisher claimed team highs of 10 draw controls, eight ground balls and three caused turnovers, while Norfleet had four draw controls and six ground balls. Stevens had six ground balls and three caused turnovers, and Whaling also had six ground balls.

• Kat Schultz had two saves in goal.
