GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS• Gustavus jumped out to an early lead with three runs in the first inning, following it up with another run in the second.

Lindsay Helbach (SR, Amherst, Wis.) started for the Auggies, pitching two innings before being relieved by
Courtney Larsen (FY, Little Canada, Minn./Concordia Academy) to start the third.
• Larsen held the Gusties scoreless for two innings, but their bats came alive again in the fifth and sixth innings as they scored eight runs to secure the 12-2 win.
• Augsburg recorded four hits compared to Gustavus' 11.

Jenna Orth (JR, Melrose, Minn.) and
Brenna Nakonechny (JR, Grand Forks, N.D./Red River HS) each finished with two hits, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and 2-for-2 respectively.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• The Gusties put up another crooked number in the first inning of the second game, as they plated five runs off back to back to back home runs. • Gustavus scored one more run in the second, were held scoreless in innings three and four, then scored one in the fifth and four in the sixth to close out the game.
• Augsburg finished with three hits, compared to Gustavus' 13.
• Orth finished 1-for-1, Nakonechny went 1-for-2, and
Sarah Buckner (JR, Duluth, Minn./East HS) went 1-for-2 as well.
• Larsen started in the circle for the Auggies, but was relieved by Helbach after the Gustie onslaught in the first inning.
FOR THE FOES• Hannah Heacox threw a gem for the Gusties in the first game, scattering just four hits while striking out 13 in six innings.
• Carly Klass, Kailey Morgan, Paige Breneman hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in the first inning of the second game. UP NEXT• Augsburg returns to MIAC action on Saturday (4/25) at 1 p.m., with a doubleheader at St. Thomas.
• Gustavus hosts a MIAC doubleheader against Hamline on Saturday at 1 p.m.
