QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "Christian Metzger took this result into his own hands. We had more chances to score than all of us care to remember, but fortunately we had an ambitious first-year player demand the ball with the kind of confidence that typically comes from years of experience. Ben Henry was particularly sharp today on the ball. He looked much improved and was more involved in our attack, as noted by his incisive entry ball to Metzger for the game-winner."
• "We were patient -- even when we grew frustrated -- and that was great to see. The guys moved the ball well to create several high quality chances, and they did it consistently. I definitely enjoy watching this team play, and am lucky to be able to associate with such a strong group of impressive young men. Our alumni will be very proud of how this group plays and how it carries itself off the field."
• "It's a brand new season on Wednesday. There is more parity in the MIAC than many of us care for; each game is incredibly difficult and every team has the quality and ambition to win. Saint Mary's is no different. They slammed two early-season opponents by a combined score of 12-0, and then took both perennial powers North Park and Luther to the limits in very good games. They look like the real deal right now."
