QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "I was thrilled for Blake to get his first collegiate start and then score a goal. He's been one of the hardest workers and most dedicated kids in this program, and for him to have something tangible to show for his work was perfect."
• "Hussein Abdullahi (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) stood out tonight for us. He linked our team up well and was deceptive in his 1-v-1 moments. I just thought that overall he was very effective."
• "Jake Gilmer (FY, Independence, Minn./Orono HS) did a good job filling in for Chinyan, who gave us just a few minutes at the start of the match. He became more confident on the ball as the game wore on and was steady in his defensive moments."
• "Northwestern answered some questions we had coming in to the game and I know the guys will make the necessary adjustments moving forward to find and maintain the momentum we had coming out of the Carleton win."

UP NEXT
• Augsburg returns to action on Friday (9/25) at 7 p.m., with a nonconference game against Viterbo (Wis.) at Edor Nelson Field.
