MINNEAPOLIS --
The Augsburg College volleyball team split as the host of the Augsburg Triangular at Si Melby Hall in Minneapolis on Saturday afternoon. The Auggies lost in five to Carleton College, then bounced back to sweep the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Ashley Peper (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) recorded 31 kills in the two matches to surpass
Colleen Ourada '14, and set the school record for career kills. Peper also went over 1,000 digs in the triangular to become the third Augsburg player ever to accumulate 1,000-plus kills and 1,000-plus digs. She has 1,554 kills and 1,024 digs. The other two players are
Colleen Ourada (2010-2014) who had 1,547 kills and 1,142 digs and Angie Rieger (1997-2000) who had 1,030 kills and 1,052 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CARLETON• Peper led the Auggies with 17 kills while hitting .342. She also chipped in 21 digs, five blocks (one solo), four assists and two service aces.
• Taylor Linn (SO, Shoreview, MInn./Mounds View HS) also finished with double-digit kills, recording 11 with a .391 attack percentage and four blocks.
• Macey Terhell (FY, Osceola, Wis.) recorded 22 digs to lead the Auggies.
• Morgan Malley (FY, Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS), who stepped in to replace injured setter
Courtney Lemke (JR, Brownton, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake HS), and
DeeDee Maier (JR, Middleton, Wis.) each finished with four service aces. Malley also dished out 30 assists, adding 13 digs and two kills.
• Hannah Gibbemeyer finished with 14 assists three kills, and three digs, while Maier added eight digs.
FOR THE FOES (CARLETON)• Lucy Stevens led all players with 26 kills and finished with an attack percentage of .388, while Faith Skinner finished with 11 kills.
• Samantha Chao finished with 44 assists, while Camille Benson recorded 42 digs.

• Jordan Weeding (SO, Greenfield, Minn./Rockford HS) led the way with an attack percentage of .360 and finished with 11 kills, five blocks and four digs.
• Taylor Linn finished with 10 kills, hitting .350 with 15 digs and two blocks.
• Ashley Peper recorded 14 kills, hitting .313 with seven digs, two blocks, and two assists.
• Morgan Malley led all players with 35 assists, and added five digs, three service aces and a kill.
• Macey Terhell and
DeeDee Maier recorded 16 and 15 digs respectively.
FOR THE FOES (UW-RIVER FALLS)• Rebecca Gasper finished with 14 kills, while Elizabeth Buck and Tayler Fertig recorded seven and six respectively.
• Raven Klein dished out 29 assists, recorded four digs and three kills.
