Auggies drop 3-1 decision to St. Norbert

MINNEAPOLIS -- Ashley Kloncz (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) scored the lone goal of the game for Augsburg College in the second period in the Auggies' 3-1 loss to St. Norbert College in a nonconference women's hockey game on Saturday afternoon at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Kloncz scored a power-play goal, her second goal of the season, at the 11:47 mark of the second period, assisted by Megan Johnson (FY, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS). The goal came 47 seconds after St. Norbert had taken a 2-0 lead.
• Augsburg was outshot by a 27-18 margin by St. Norbert, including a 12-6 margin in the second period. 
• Kayla Fuechtmann (SR, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) had three shots on-goal for the Auggies, while Megan Robertson (SO, Boissevain, Manitoba), Bridget Walter (FY, Princeton, Minn.), Sarah Buckner (SR, Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and Darby Lindgren (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) had two shots each.
• Erika Allen (SR, Roseville, Minn.) collected 24 saves in goal for the Auggies.

FOR THE FOES
• Emily Chandler and Reaghan Chadwick had a goal and assist apiece for the Green Knights, with each assisting on the other's goal in the second period.
• Lauren Roethlisberger opened the scoring for St. Norbert with a goal at the 4:07 mark of the first period, assisted by Allie Patrick and Kelli Sorge.
• Leigh Grall had 17 saves in goal for the Green Knights.
