MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College volleyball team recorded a thrilling three-set victory over Bethel University on Saturday afternoon at Si Melby Hall. With the win, Augsburg moves to 8-0 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play, sitting alone atop the conference standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• With the win, Augsburg has now won seven consecutive matches and remains the only unbeaten team in conference play.
• Augsburg and Bethel battled in a great match, with the Auggies emerging victorious in three close sets.

Taylor Linn (JR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) led the Auggie offensive attack, posting a season-high 19 kills on 36 attempts with an impressive .444 attack percentage. Linn added seven digs and four blocks on the afternoon.

Jordan Weeding (JR, Greenfield, Minn.) provided a big spark for the Auggies, posting six kills on nine attempts, good for a .556 attack percentage.
• Augsburg setter
Courtney Lemke (SR, Brownton, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake HS) posted a match-high 41 assists -- her fifth straight match with 40-plus assists.
• Defensively,
Macey Terhell (SO, Osceola, Wis.) posted a match-high 26 digs, leading four Auggies with double-digit digs.

DeeDee Maier (SR, Middleton, Wis.) also had a solid afternoon for the Auggies picking up 19 digs and recording nine kills on 33 attempts.
• For the match, Augsburg hit .187, while the Royals hit at a .144 clip. Augsburg out-dug Bethel 82-72 and was able to record 52 kills compared to just 36 for the Royals.
FOR THE FOES
• Bethel was led by Carlee Hoppe, who posted 11 kills on 48 attempts, while adding 15 digs.
• Holly Ellwanger dished out 22 assists and picked up 12 digs for the Royals.
