MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College volleyball team posted another huge victory over a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent with a 3-1 win over a tough Saint Mary's University team on Wednesday night at Si Melby Hall. With the victory, Augsburg moves to 7-0 and remains at the top of the MIAC standings.

• With the win, Augsburg has now won six consecutive matches and is 9-1 over its last 10 matches.
• Augsburg and Saint Mary's battled in a great match, with the Auggies emerging victorious in the four set match.
• For the third straight match,
Jaelyn Arndt (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS) and
Taylor Linn (JR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) led the Auggie offensive attack, posting 17 and 16 kills respectively. Arndt has now posted 14-plus-kills in four straight matches, while Linn has posted double-digit kills in seven of her last eight matches and added a season-high 23 digs on the night.
• Augsburg setter
Courtney Lemke (SR, Brownton, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake HS) continued her stellar play, posting 47 assists and 18 digs -- both second-best marks for the season.

Macey Terhell (SO, Osceola, Wis.) posted a match-high 29 digs, leading four Auggies with double-digit digs.

Jordan Weeding (JR, Greenfield, Minn.) and
Bridget Bednar (JR, Pierz, Minn.) provided a big spark for the Auggies in the third and fourth sets, combining for six kills, while both hitting over .250.
• For the match, Augsburg hit .207 -- the Auggies fifth match this season hitting over .200 -- while holding the Cardinals to a .134 hitting percentage. Augsburg picked up its second-highest dig total of the season, recording 102 digs on the night and also combined for its second-highest block total of the season with 9.0 team blocks.
FOR THE FOES
• Saint Mary's was led by Brandi Blattner, who posted 18 kills on 53 attempts, while adding 11 digs.
• Brittney Hanson and Lillian Braun combined for 40 assists, while Morgan Thomas posted 20 digs on the night to lead the Cardinal defense.
