MINNEAPOLIS -- Taking advantage of four interceptions leading to scores on ensuing drives, Concordia College-Moorhead scored a 43-13 victory over host Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football contest on Saturday at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Concordia scored the first 15 points of the game before Augsburg was able to score, as
Jacob Bom (SO, Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka HS) recovered a blocked punt by
Deontae Heuer (JR, Stanley, Wis./Stanley-Boyd HS) for a touchdown early in the second quarter.
• Augsburg's final score came on one of its longest sustained drives of the season, a 14-play, 73-yard drive that took 8:39 off the clock. The drive was capped by a two-yard touchdown run by
Anastacio VandenBosch-Romo (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Henry Sibley HS) with 2:07 left in the game.
• Concordia took advantage of four Augsburg interceptions, scoring touchdowns on each of the ensuing drives. Concordia outgained Augsburg by a 364-207 margin in the game. The Cobbers had 293 rushing yards and 71 passing yards, compared to Augsburg's 31 rushing yards and 176 passing yards.

Nahjai Brown (JR, Roseville, Minn.) led the way for the Auggie offense, catching eight passes for 64 yards.Â
Cyrus Elliott (SR, Baldwin, Wis./Baldwin-Woodville HS) caught four passes for 37 yards.
Nick Heenie (SO, Victoria, Minn./Waconia HS) caught three passes for 33 yards, and
Lawrence Ogunti (FY, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Park Center HS) caught four passes for 29 yards. VandenBosch-Romo rushed 12 times for 25 yards.

Quentin Lake (FY, Portland, Ore./Lincoln HS) started at quarterback and completed 13-of-30 passes for 100 yards.
Shannon Storley (SO, Waconia, Minn.) relieved him in the second half and completed 10-of-12 passes for 76 yards.
• Defensively,Â
Jabri Guy (SO, Moline, Ill./Eagan (Minn.) HS) led the Auggies with 11 tackles (four solo), including a tackle for-loss.Â
Lorenzo Hernandez (SO, New Ulm, Minn.) had seven tackles, and Heuer had six tackles, a tackle-for-loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.Â
William Johnson (SR, St. Anthony Village, Minn.) also had six tackles (one solo).
FOR THE FOES
• The Cobbers' defense struck first, as Landon Moline scored on a 43-yard interception return with 9:42 left in the first quarter.
• Four different Cobbers scored rushing touchdowns --
Chad Johnson on a five-yard run in the second quarter, Michael Herzog on a nine-yard run in the second quarter, Connor Gessell on a five-yard run in the third quarter and Jason Montonye on a 34-yard run in the fourth quarter. Johnson rushed nine times for 87 yards, Montonye rushed five times for 63 yards, Herzog rushed nine times for 42 yards and Gessell rushed eight times for 41 yards.
• Herzog completed 7-of-16 passes for 71 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown pass to Dylan Hoerchler in the second quarter.
• Eddie Clifton connected on a 36-yard field goal in the first quarter.
• Andrew Thompson had eight tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks for the Cobbers, while Noah Taylor, Alex Berg and Hank Van Liew had six tackles each. In addition to Moline's interception for a touchdown, Van Liew, Dallas Raftevold and Will Berning also had interceptions.
