Callen Naasz (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) opened the 2016-17 season with a goal for Augsburg College, but the College of St. Scholastica scored three straight goals to claim a 3-1 nonconference women's hockey win on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Naasz opened the scoring for the Auggies with an unassisted, breakaway goal at the 3:21 mark of the second period.
• Augsburg outshot St. Scholastica by a 31-22 margin in the game, including a 10-4 advantage in the third period.
Nikki Nightengale (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) and
Ashley Kloncz (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) had four shots each for the Auggies, while Naasz and
Bridget Wagner (FY, Niles, Ill/Maine South HS) had three shots each.

Rebecca Sonnek (JR, Edina, Minn.) had 19 saves in goal for the Auggies.
FOR THE FOES
• Emily Stegora tied the game at 1-1 with a goal at the 7:50 mark of the second period, assisted by Abby Sawyer and Sierra Hanowski.
• Giorgia Battisti scored a power-play goal, assisted by Kennedy Houge and Mac Johnson, at the 6:03 mark of the third period to give the Saints the lead, and Stegora capped the scoring with an empty-net goal with 22 seconds left in the game.
• Lindsey Hartfiel had 30 saves in goal for St. Scholastica.
