MINNEAPOLIS --
Danielle Heitkamp (SR, Bismarck, N.D./Grand Forks (Minn.) HS) scored the game-winning goal at the 2:19 mark of overtime, giving the Augsburg College women's hockey team a 2-1 win over St. Catherine University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Taking advantage of a 5-on-3 power play, Heitkamp scored on a one-timer from the left side, assisted by
Taral Clayton (JR, Anchorage, Alaska/Dimond HS).

Mikayla Jones (FY, Stillwater, Minn.) opened the scoring for the Auggies at the 16:14 mark of the second period, scoring her team-leading third goal of the season, an unassisted breakaway goal.

Rebecca Sonnek (JR, Edina, Minn.) improved to 2-1-0 on the season with the victory in goal, stopping 25 of the 26 shots she faced.
• Augsburg outshot St. Catherine by a 29-26 margin in the game, including a 4-0 advantage in overtime.
Nikki Nightengale (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Jeffferson HS) had seven shots on-goal in the game, while Mackenzie Molar (FY, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) had four shots and Jones had three shots.
FOR THE FOES
• Tori Thompson scored a power-play goal for St. Catherine at the 17:02 mark of the second period, just 48 seconds after Jones' opening goal. Her marker was asssited by Jordan Solheim and Morgan Tentis.
• Kristen Pechacek had 27 saves in goal for the Wildcats.
