Auggies remain unbeaten with win over Crown

ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. -- The Augsburg College women's basketball team posted its third straight victory of the young season with a 75-52 nonconference win over Crown College on Tuesday night at the Wild Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The victory over Crown marks the second time in the past three years that the Auggies have started the season 3-0.
• Augsburg was led offensively by 
K'Aezha Wubben (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS), who scored a game-high 19 points on a perfect 7-for-7 shooting night from the floor.
• Abby Jordan (FY, Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) posted a season-best 17 points, which included a 5-of-11 night from three-point range. She added six rebounds, an assist and a steal.
• The Auggies were led on the boards by Camryn Speese (FY, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS), who pulled down a game-high seven rebounds, while adding four points.
• Tamira McLemore (FY, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) dished out a game-high eight assists, while adding four points and four assists.
• Unlike its first two games, Augsburg never trailed, leading for 38:33 minutes in the contest. The Auggies led by as many as 27 points before cruising on to the 75-52 victory. Thirteen different Auggies saw action in the contest and 11 factored into the scoring.

• For the game, Augsburg shot 43.5 percent (27-of-62) from the field, while holding Crown to 36.0 percent (18-of-50) shooting. Augsburg was able to connect on 11-of-27 from three-point range, while crown hit only 2-of-11.
• The Auggies claimed a 39-33 advantage on the boards, a 14-2 advantage in fast-break points and a 26-14 advantage in points off turnovers.

FOR THE FOES
• Crown was led by Hannah Malone, who finished with 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field.
• Andrea Besa posted a team-best four steals and added nine points.

UP NEXT
• The Auggies return to action on Saturday (11/26) at 1 p.m., hosting Northwestern-St. Paul at Si Melby Hall.
• Crown returns to action on Friday (11/25) at 5:30 p.m., when it travels to Valley City, N.D. to take on Valley City State University.
