THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Augsburg 89, Northwestern-St. Paul 65
LOCATION: Si Melby Hall, Minneapolis
RECORDS: Augsburg 4-0 overall, Northwestern-St. Paul 0-2 overall

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg connected on 15-of-32 three-point attempts in the game -- the third time Augsburg has hit 11 or more three-pointers in its four games this season -- including 10 three-pointers in the first half. The 15 three-pointers are the most by an Augsburg squad in a single game since the three-pointer was introduced to NCAA college basketball in the 1987-88 season. Augsburg's old record was 13, set four times previously -- including in Augsburg's season-opener this year. Augsburg has connected on 10 or more three-pointers in just seven games in program history, the first coming in the 1992-93 campaign.
• Three players hit four 3-pointers each -- Abby Jordan (FY, Rogers, Minn.), Tamira McLemore (FY, Eagan, Minn.) and Aiza Wilson (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS).
• McLemore and K'Aezha Wubben (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS) both led the way for the Auggies in scoring, with 21 points. McLemore had seven assists, six steals and four rebounds, while Wubben also had four assists, three steals and eight rebounds. Wubben scored 13 points in the first half.
• Jordan scored 16 points -- 12 in the first half on four 3-pointers -- while adding three rebounds and two assists.
• Bridget Bednar (JR, Pierz, Minn.) pulled down a game-best 11 rebounds, while contributing six points and four assists.
• Augsburg led nearly the entire contest -- all but 70 seconds of game action. A 16-5 run, keyed by eight points by Wubben, gave the Auggies a double-digit lead at 19-9 with 2:47 left in the opening quarter. The Auggies led 48-40 at halftime, then pulled away in the third quarter, using a 16-4 run to take a 20-point lead. Augsburg held a double-digit advantage for the final 18:32 of play, extending the advantage to as many as 27 points in the fourth quarter.
• The Auggies had their best rebounding effort of the young season, outrebounding the Eagles by a 45-30 margin. The Auggies also had 34 points in-the-paint to Northwestern's 20 and had 28 second-chance points to Northwestern's five, taking advantage of 21 offensive rebounds.
• Augsburg claimed 27 assists on 34 made baskets, compared to 16-of-21 for Northwestern. The Auggies also forced 20 Northwestern turnovers, with 17 steals leading to 22 points off-turnovers. Northwestern had seven points off of 12 Auggie turnovers.
• For the game, Augsburg connected on 46.6 percent (34-of-73) from the field. Northwestern hit 43.8 percent (21-of-48) from the field, including 37.5 percent (6-of-16) from three-point range.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Through four games, Augsburg has already connected on 45-of-105 three-pointers (42.9 percent). Augsburg's single-season record for made three-pointers is 132, set in the 2013-14 season. Augsburg has hit 100 or more three-pointers in a season just 11 times since the 1997-98 campaign.
• Early this season, Augsburg has been led by its seven first-year players, starting four first-years in each of its four games. The Auggie first-years have combined to score 283 of the team's 329 points (86.0 percent), pull down 86 of the team's 146 rebounds (58.9 percent), while contributing 67 of the team's 79 assists (84.8 percent) and 36 of the team's 48 steals (75.0 percent).
