MINNEAPOLIS -- Claiming a 42-11 advantage in shots on-goal, the Augsburg College women's hockey team dominated from start to finish in a 5-0 win over Northland College in a nonconference game on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ten different Auggies figured in the scoring in Friday's win, with four different Auggies scoring goals. Megan Johnson (SO, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) had a goal and assist, and Bridget Walter (SO, Princeton, Minn.) had two assists.
• Augsburg struck twice in the first period, both shorthanded goals. Jacie Hoehn (SO, Waseca, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) scored from Johnson at the 4:59 mark, and Mackenzie Molnar (FY, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) scored from Taral Clayton (JR, Anchorage, Alaska/Dimond HS) and Bridget Walter (SO, Princeton, Minn.) at the 12:01 mark.
• Mikayla Jones (FY, Stillwater, Minn.) scored her first collegiate goal at the 7:31 mark of the second period, assisted by Nikki Nightengale (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS), and Johnson scored her first goal of the season at the 13:49 mark, assisted by Megan Robertson (JR, Boissevain, Manitoba) and Ashley Kloncz (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS).
• Savannah Seeger (SR, Rochester, Minn./John Marshall HS) capped the scoring with a goal from Walter at the 14:15 mark of the third period.
• Augsburg had a 16-2 shots on-goal advantage in the first period and 17-4 advantage in the second period. Johnson, Hoehn and Darby Lindgren (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) had five shots each.
• Rebecca Sonnek (JR, Edina, Minn.) had six saves in goal in the first two periods for Augsburg, with Leah Patrick (SO, Hudson, Wis./Hill-Murray HS) recording five saves in the third period.

FOR THE FOES
• Ashley Hammes, Kylie Wickiser, Kylie Fahmer and Emma Vandergeest had two shots each for Northland.
• Maggie Cusey had 37 saves in goal for the Lumberjills.
