MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College women's lacrosse team rallied from three-goal deficits twice to claim a 12-10 victory over Hamline University in a nonconference game on Tuesday evening at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED• Augsburg trailed 4-1 midway through the first half, but eventually rallied to tie the game 6-6 just before halftime. The Pipers scored the first three goals of the second half, but then ran off a streak of five straight goals to take the lead to stay.
• Augsburg's five-goal rally came in a 10:10 span midway through the second half, with
Ashley Pettipiece (SO, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) scoring two goals. Four of the five goals in the rally came on free-position attempts. Augsburg went 6-for-8 on free-position shots in the game. Pettipiece also had an assist in the game.

Marissa Guillou (SO, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) claimed a season-high 15 saves in the victory, as Augsburg was outshot by a 34-23 margin by Hamline.

Sheala Osborne (FY, West St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) led the way for the Auggies, scoring four goals, including three in the first half. She added five ground balls, two draw controls and four caused turnovers in the game.

• Augsburg had 26 ground balls to Hamline's 22, while Hamline had 13 draw controls to Augsburg's 11. The Pipers converted 26-of-35 clearing attempts, while Augsburg cleared 26-of-39 attempts.
FOR THE FOES• Dana Almquist scored seven goals and added an assist, two ground balls, two draw controls and two caused turnovers to lead the Pipers.
• Lexus Tatge, Maddie Brown and Jordan Nielsen had the other Hamline goals, with Tatge adding two assists and four draw controls, and Brown adding an assist and two caused turnovers.
• Rachel Foster had eight ground balls and eight caused turnovers.
• Molly Dionne had nine saves in goal for the Pipers.
