ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg College softball team was swept by No. 17-ranked St. Catherine University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• St. Catherine built a 9-0 lead after two innings, then after Augsburg scored a run in the top of the fourth inning, the Wildcats scored four runs in the bottom of the frame and ended the game via the NCAA eight-run rule in the fifth inning.

Brianna Cline (SO, St. Clair, Minn.) hit a double and scored on an RBI single by
Sarah Buckner (SR, Duluth, Minn./East HS) for the Auggies' lone run in the fourth inning.

Taylor Mattice (SO, Woodbury, Minn./Centennial HS) and
Samantha Anderson (FY, Coon Rapids, Minn.) had the other Auggie hits in the game.
• Three Auggie pitchers worked in the game, with
Alyssa Kaiswatum (SR, Regina, Saskatchewan/Thom Collegiate HS) striking out three while walking three in two innings of relief.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg was limited to three hits in the game -- singles by Cline, Buckner and and
Jenna Orth (SR, Melrose, Minn.).
• St. Catherine scored all its runs in the final four innings of the game, which ended in the sixth inning due to the eight-run rule.

Courtney Larsen (SO, Little Canada, Minn./Concordia Academy HS) and
Carissa Struve (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) pitched for the Auggies.
FOR THE FOES
• Megan Lindenfelser hit two home runs and drove in five runs in the first game, then struck out eight while not walking a batter in a complete-game pitching effort in the second game.
• Robyn Rohr went 2-for-3 with three RBI in the first game, then hit two doubles in going 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored in the second game.
