MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College softball team rallied to tie the first game and send it to extra innings with two runs in the seventh inning, but St. Olaf College scored one in the ninth to secure the win. The Oles went on to win game two by a score of 4-0 for the doubleheader sweep in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Sunday afternoon.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• St. Olaf scored four first inning runs on
Courtney Larsen (SO, Little Canada, Minn./Concordia Academy HS), who was injured after a line drive up the middle struck her hand, but didn't score again until the game winning run in the ninth.
• The Auggies scored two in the fourth, then rallied to score two more in the seventh and send the game to extra innings.

Samantha Anderson (FY, Coon Rapids, Minn.) relieved Larsen in the first inning with two outs, pitching the remainder of the game, allowing just six hits and one run while striking out six and walking four in the loss.
• Augsburg's four runs came on nine hits, with seven Auggies tallying a hit.

Brianna Cline (SO, St. Clair, Minn.) went 2-for-5 with an RBI, while
Sarah Buckner (SR, Duluth, Minn./East HS) also went 2-for-5.

Haley Larson (SO, Shakopee, Minn./Prior Lake HS) went 1-for-3 with two RBI, while
Taylor Mattice (SO, Woodbury, Minn./Centennial HS) went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Carrisa Struve (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) started game two for the Auggies, and threw very well for 3.2 innings allowing three hits and one run. Anderson relieved her and allowed three more runs on six hits.
• Augsburg was limited to three hits in the game -- a single by Cline, while
Carly Dropik (FY, Alexandria, Minn.) added a single and a triple.
FOR THE FOES
• Alex Lopez threw all nine innings in game one, allowing four runs on nine hits, while walking five and striking out four.
• Jessica Bentley threw a complete-game three-hitter for the Oles in game two, allowing zero runs on three hits, while walking one and striking out one.
?• Jenna Boudreau went 4-for-5 with two RBI in game one, then 1-for-3 with one RBI in game two.
