ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg College softball team split with Hamline University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Game one was a back and forth affair that saw the Auggies score first, tie the game in the seventh, and then rally for three runs in the eighth inning for the win.Â

Samantha Anderson (FY, Coon Rapids, Minn.) and
Sarah Buckner (SR, Duluth, Minn./East HS) each finished with three hits, going 3-for-5. Anderson added an RBI, while Buckner scored a run.Â

Jenna Orth (SR, Melrose, Minn.) went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
• Three other Auggies finished with two hits as
Brianna Cline (SO, St. Clair, Minn.) went 2-for-5,
Taylor Mattice (SO, Woodbury, Minn./Centennial HS)Â went 2-for-4, and
Haley Larson (SO, Shakopee, Minn./Prior Lake HS) went 2-for-3.Â
• Mattice added an RBI, while Larson scored twice and Cline scored once.Â
• Anderson threw all eight innings, allowing five runs on 11 hits, while walking five and striking out one. Anderson improved to 11-4, tied for sixth in the conference in wins.Â
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Hamline scored one run in the second, then spread five innings across inning four, five and six.Â
• Buckner and Larson led the Auggies at the plate in game two, as both finished 2-for-3.

Carly Dropik went1-for-2, and
Ashley Anfinson went 1-for-3.Â
• Carrisa Struve (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) started in the circle for the Auggies and pitched three innings as the losing pitcher of record as she surrenderd three runs on five hits, while striking at two and walking just one.Â
• Anderson relieved Struve and allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits, while striking out four and walking two.Â
