MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Augsburg College softball team recorded a sweep of Concordia College-Moorhead in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Monday afternoon, reaching 20 wins for the first time since the 2012 season.Â

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

Samantha Anderson (FY, Coon Rapids, Minn.) threw a complete-game shutout, allowing just three hits and striking out 13 to lead the Auggies to a 1-0 game one win.Â

Brianna Cline (SO, St. Clair, Minn.) led the Auggies at the plate going 2-for-3 with the game's only RBI.
• Cline belted a double to left center in the top of the sixth inning to break the 0-0 tie and score
Jenna Orth (SR, Melrose, Minn.), who had reached on a single and stole second.Â
• Orth finished 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored, while
Carly Dropik (FY, Alexandria, Minn.) recorded the only other Auggie hit and also went 1-for-3.Â
• Augsburg out hit Concordia in game one four hits to three.Â
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• The Auggies carried their game one win momentum into game two and plated a run in the first inning.
• Cline doubled again to left center, then
Sarah Buckner (SR, Duluth, Minn./East HS) doubled to left to score Cline.Â
• Cline's 15 doubles so far this season are tied for the second-most in single-season school history. The record is 18, set by Kristen Lideen in 2003.Â
• Augsburg extended its lead to 2-0 in the fifth inning when Dropik scored on a bunt single by
Ashley Anfinson (SR, Watertown, Minn./Watertorn-Mayer HS). Dropik had reached base on a bunt single as well, stole second, then advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by
Amanda Niznik (JR, Columbia Heights, Minn.).Â
• The Cobbers attempted a rally in the sixth, as they scored one run on three hits, but Anderson pitched her way out of a jam and stranded two runners.Â

Carissa Struve started in the circle for the Auggies, pitching 1.1 innings allowing no runs and two hits before being relieved by Anderson.Â
• Anderson pitched 5.2 innings, earning her second win of the day to improve to 13-4.Â
• Anderson allowed one run on four hits and struck out six, which brings her season total to an Augsburg single season record of 151.Â
