MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College volleyball team posted a 2-1 record at the Wartburg College Invitational, recording wins over host Wartburg and Buena Vista University, while dropping a five-set match to Luther College. Augsburg's
Macey Terhell was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST WARTBURG
• The Auggies came out of the gates on fire, storming to a quick 25-12 win in set one. The next two sets were a battle the entire way, with Augsburg able to claim the extended 28-26 set two win and the deciding 25-21 win for the match victory.

Jaelyn Arndt (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS) led all players with 16 kills on 27 attempts for a season-best .481 hitting percentage.
• Three Auggies finished with double-digit digs, led by
Macey Terhell (SO, Osceola, Wis.), who posted a team-best 18 digs.Â

Taylor Linn (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) posted 13 digs, while adding seven kills and a pair of block assists.

FOR THE FOES (WARTBURG)
• Aryn Jones led the Knight offense, posting a team-best 12 kills on 27 attempts for a .296 hitting percentage.
• Defensively, Kathyrn Nasby posted 18 digs, while adding six assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST BUENA VISTA
• The Auggies recorded thier third straight win, posting a victory over BVU in straight sets. Augsburg was able to outhit the Beavers .186 to .129 and recorded 52 team digs, compared to 45 for BVU.

DeeDee Maier (SR, Middleton, Wis.) led the Auggies posting her second kill-dig double-double of the season recording a match-high 14 kills, while adding 11 digs a service ace and a solo block.
• Also recording double-digit kills for the Auggies was
Taylor Linn (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS), posted 11 kills, while adding seven digs and a block assists.
• The Auggie setting duo of

Morgan Malley (SO, Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) teammed up for 39 assists, compared to just 24 for the opposition.

• Maddie Bardole led the Beavers with 10 kills, while adding six digs and a pair of blocks.
• Ashley Pelton and Kylie Roe teammed up for 21 assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST LUTHER
• The Auggies stormed out to a decisive first set win before trading the second and third sets. In both the fourth and fifth sets, Augsburg had chances to win late but wasn't able to close out either set and dropped the match to Luther.

Taylor Linn (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) had her best match of the season posting season-bests in kills (17), digs (17) and hitting percentage (.464), while adding three blocks (one solo) and a service ace.
• Also recording double-digits for the Auggies was
Jaelyn Arndt (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS), who posted 13 kills on 36 attempts, good for a .222 hitting percentage.

• Jamie Sindlinger recorded 16 kills on 51 attempts, while adding 18 digs to lead Luther.
• Sam Sixta posted 44 assists and added 10 digs, while Taylor Gaide collected 24 digs.
