MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College volleyball team claimed a four-set thrilling victory over defending Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion Gustavus Adolphus College on Wednesday night at Si Melby Hall. With the win, the Auggies remain unbeaten in conference play and are tied with St. Thomas at the top of the MIAC standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The first two sets were absolute thrillers, with both teams trading leads. Both resulted in two-point victories for the Auggies, 28-26 and 25-23. Gustavus was able to claim the 25-17 third-set victory before the Auggies put together their best effort of the night, claiming the decisive 25-16 fourth-set victory.
• With the win, Augsburg snapped Gustavus' 16-game winning streak over MIAC opponents, dating to the 2014 season.
• Augsburg was led by
Courtney Lemke (SR, Brownton, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake HS), who had her best statistical night of the season, posting a season-high 40 assists and 14 digs, while adding a service ace.

Macey Terhell (SO, Osceola, Wis.) led all players with a match-high (tying a season-high) 37 digs, her seventh match this season with 20-plus digs.
• The Augsburg offensive attack of
Jaelyn Arndt (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS),
DeeDee Maier (SR, Middleton, Wis.),
Taylor Linn (JR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) and
Sydnie Zachary (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Bloomington Jefferson HS) all finished with double-digit kills, combining for 47 kills on the night.
• Augsburg posted a season-high 12 team blocks, led by a season-high seven (one solo) from Linn.
• For the match, Augsburg hit .197, compared to a .167 hitting percentage for the Gusties. The Auggies recorded a season-best 108 digs and their third best kill total of the season (55).
FOR THE FOES
• Lauren Hanson and Hannah Albers led the Gustie offense recording 16 and 15 kills respectively.
• Nora Holtan posted a match-high 52 assists.
